• Can grow more food per hectare.

• Create more and fair employment per hectare.

• Reinvest their money locally, which benefits the local economy.

• Retain more fertile carbon in the soil.

• Have more efficient water management and retain more water in the soil.

And let's be honest, a landscape full of small farms is so much more beautiful than a monoculture of industrial production fields or huge greenhouses!
